4 months before when we started our house construction our construction supervisor introduced one brick supplier from enjambakkam for purchasing the bricks. By trusting his words in front of him Appu had given the advance amount of Rs 30,000/- to him for purchasing bricks. While giving the money he promised that the bricks will be supplied on time in 3 phases. As per that the first supply was delivered within 2days of after giving the money. After that, we told him in another one month only we need our next supply. Then, after one month again we had called that person to deliver the 2nd supply. But it was not delivered on time. So, I had a talk with that person over phone and shouted him to deliver the bricks. Since there was no response from that person I had to talk with construction supervisor for getting the money or supply from that person. After he talks with that person the bricks were delivered after one week of our actual time. That time itself we were asking our construction supervisior to get the balance money from that person. But he said don’t worry, next time the bricks will be delivered on time. Again trusting his words we didn’t ask our balance amount.
Last week again we were in need of bricks, so advancely 15 days back we told that brick supplier to supply the bricks. Again last week I had called that person to confirm and asked him to deliver the bricks on Saturday (19-09-2009). For that, he replied currently don’t have a money so will try to deliver on Saturday if not on Monday it will be delivered. Then, I told him try to deliver on Saturday itself and he Agreed too. As he promised it was not delivered on Saturday when I tried to reach his mobile he didn’t pick up his mobile so I thought let’s wait till Monday to get the bricks. But still, it was not delivered on Monday and when I try to reach his mobile he was not picking up the call. Since there was no response from him me and appu have decided to meet that person on enjambakkam.
on last Tuesday me and appu went to enjambakkam to meet that person. When we saw him he was sitting on his shop since he couldn’t identify me I identified myself and asked him to supply the goods or give back our money. For that He asked us to comeback on Saturday if he has money will give to us. Then, me and appu told we won’t move until we get the money. Since he was not responding and threatening us we won’t get the money. We started to shout in front of his shop but still he was not ready to give our money back. Then, we decided to police station and made a complaint against him in that local police station.
After explaining our problem on police they sent one police constable along with us to his shop to get the money. But still he was not ready to give the money. Then, the police had taken him into the station for the enquiry. But still they didn’t help us to get the money; instead they asked us to come on Saturday and collect that money in the police station. When again on Saturday we went to police station they had asked rupees 1500/- for getting the money from that person. When we asked why we should give, they replied, it’s not our responsibility to get the money for you go to court and get that money. Since we don’t want to spend our time on this anymore we gave 1000/- rupees for police.
