Due to hectic work pressure, M.B.A exams and my home construction I was not able to concentrate much on writing my blog. It has been 5 months since I stopped updating my blog. Today, I have decided to spend some time to share my experience of past 5 months. There are many incidents are happened which I cannot forget in my life time.
On Feb, after we moved to rent house Appu got the reference from one of his clients to apply home loan in LIC Housing Finance for our house construction. Meantime, We met the builder called Thanga Raj who estimated around 18lacs for the house construction. With that estimation we have applied our home loan in LIC. After few days we got a call from LIC and confirmed our house loan was sanctioned and in another two days we will be receiving the sanction letter. By trusting this we decided to demolish our home and fixed our “poomi Pooja” in next two days. The day before Poomi Pooja we again called the LIC about loan sanction letter and got a reply saying, “The estimation was too high so we have cancelled the loan “. But still, thought we could convince the bank manager for getting the loan and continued with our “Poomi Pooja” as planned. On the same day, one of my envy neighbor also performed their “Poomi Pooja” . The next day myself and appu went to meet the bank manager and tried to convience but simply he denied our request and was giving useless explanation which was not informed in front while we applied our home loan. Next, we tried with different banks Inspite of having proper documents and enough salary eligibility we had been denied. The reason is “the property belongs to 3 persons and its only 450 Sqft” . Then we left with no other options, and stopped our house construction. After that whenever we go outside in our street everyone was asking about stopped construction which was annoying for us and literally my parents start to feel for that. then, my parents were decided to go for Nagoor to worship “ Nagoor Andavar” because we believe, whenever we go there something will get succeeded. As planned, on the occasion of Milad un Nabi (Mar 9th) my parents and Appu were reached nagoor dargah to worship the Andavar.

After they returned from the nagoor on the same week one of our mother side relation came to invite us for their son’s marriage that time my mother had shared our problem with them. Then, next day we got a call from them and got the reference of bank manager who is residing next to their house. after that phone discussion myself and my mother went to meet that bank manager and he agreed to sanction loan for our construction. But still we were not in a position to trust anyone until we get the loan. Next day, I and appu have gone with all the documents and applied for loan in that bank. It seems will take another one month to get the sanction letter. But still myself and Appu have decided to start the construction with whatever money we had in our hand. Also appu decided to start the construction on his own without giving to the contractor.On the month of April 24th again we did our “Poomi Pooja” to re-start our construction. This time we didn’t invite anyone from our street to join with our pooja.
After so much of struggle finally we got the sanction letter from the bank to continue our construction. When things were going smooth again the problem started from our own neighbors. Our house is in front of the road, all our neighbors’ shares common passage to enter their house. There are 4 families always will create a problem to our family. There were incidents we made complaints in police station against them for beating my parents and brothers but still they didn’t stop. After we started our construction we were denied to use the water connection and power supply but luckily my aunty was helping us to provide their own connection. Apart from that, they started to park their vehicle in front our house and not allowing us to keep our construction materials. Since my brother taken care of the construction everyone started to threaten him and not allowed to do the construction. Being a small person he was tackling all the issue but still he could not tolerate my neighbors. one day, when myself and vinoth was standing on the construction site suddenly all the person from 3 families came and threaten we should not put the door in the common passage , should not increase height and should not put steps on road side. When they constructed their house they didn’t care about us whenever rain fall our house will be flooded with water because they increased the their house hight about 3 feet also we were denied to use the common metro water for more than 30years. When I asked these questions, they started to say we are not having the rights to ask those also they said they are going to put the case against our property and stop the construction. On that day itself they all decided to share the money to put the case against our property. Even though, they can’t do anything we doesn’t want to construction get stopped and decided to meet the advocate and sent a warning letter through my father’s sister and applied the caveat on Civil Court for not stopping the house construction. After that only we are able to do the construction without any issues. I hope that It would continue till we finish our construction.
