It has been quite a while since I am planning to write about my house warming ceremony. Due to not having internet connection in my house for fast few days and restricted internet connection in my office I was not able to post about my “Gragha Pravesam” celebration.
First, We would like to thank the God for helping us in hard times, without the faith in him we couldn’t have done this.
It was my dream come true. When , I remember those rainy days in my old house and the problems we faced against our neighbors moreover, the struggles and obstacles my family had until to finish my house construction it was enormous. Especially, the pressure what me and appu had on those construction days was like a nightmare for us. But still, it brought us so much of experience.
Since the karthigai month is auspicious for “Gragha Pravesam” we wanted to complete the Gragha Pravesam within that month. So, we fixed the date on 29-11-2009 for celebrating our function. Though, I wanted to have the function very simple , my mother wanted to invite everyone because this is our first function in our family she wanted to know how many of them are attending the function. After a long discussion we have decided to invite all of our friends and relatives for our Gragha Pravesam .
It was on Sunday morning around at 4:30 AM started with “Gomatha Pooja “ after cow and calf entered into our new house my parents were asked to sit on their pooja place to chant the mantras for “Ganapathi , Navagragha and Mrithinjaya homams” . After that me and my friends went into the terrace to serve the breakfast for the invitees. After that we had photo sessions for collecting the gifts from the invitees. Around at 11:30 the function got over and we started to have our breakfast.
Overall, It was wonderful occasion and we all enjoyed with great pleasure.
Moreover, I should thank EDS Ramya for arranging me a Prohithar and friends for helping me to serve the food and kanniamma aunty for her support.
