Till 5th standard I did my school study in Alwarpet Corporation Higher Secondary School. After 5th standard, as like other parents my parents wanted me to study in private school. Even though they struggled to run the family, decided me to join Wesley Higher Secondary School, Royapettah. There I studied till 10th Standard. After finishing 10th STD I was very happy with my score and I thought I will get selected in polytechnic. That is where my fate started and i made a big mess. Instead of going for 12 STD I opted to go for polytechnic/ITI. Unfortunately I didn’t get any seat there. But still I was persisted with joining either diploma/ITI, in that process I wasted a year of study, meantime I was joined as an office boy in a company to earn some money. Then next year came I started applying for diploma/ITI but still I didn’t get a seat. Then I realized it is wasting of time, so I decided to join for some private ITI meantime I got a seat in Madras ITI as an Electrician.
Between Years 1996-97

The period when I studied there, it was like a nightmare for me and my family, I never seen or heard worst institute like MITI, if any student do a mistake they will harm them with rowdy’s. Also, they will ask money from students for nonsense reasons. However I didn’t involve in any controversies till my studies. Finally I had completed that course and relieved from that hell.

After completing the ITI, I was hyping like anything and I started searching for a job. Fortunately after a long search I got a job. But it didn’t last long, because I was offered a salary RS 500/- and my work timing is 7am –10pm.In a week we can only get half a day leave. There I was working for a month then I decided to quit from that job. Since my brothers were also studying i had to take over my family, So, I decided there is no more electrician job. I should thank my family for backing me on those circumstances. Then I decided to look for some different job.

When I was in confusion for which job I should try, in my next house one person advised me to try for job in DATAENTRY. That time I had completed higher in typewriting it helped me to get a job in CMA Computers. This is my second turn in my life after education; I was joined in CMA with the expectation of getting a chance to operate a Computer. Here too my fate didn’t allow me. I was given manual work for pinning PAN CARDS fortunately it didn’t last long, after 6 months I got the opportunity to work as a scanning operator. I was very happy since I would be getting chance to operate Computer. There I got a chance to meet SENTHIL who is my best friend till now. Meantime I was joined in Aptech for computer course, which was my first experience attending class in English, though I had a hard time for understanding the class. Somehow I managed to pass the online exams where others got failed. That time I was confident like anything in software and thought like; in the world nobody can do a program like me. Meantime In CMA, when one of the senior gave us party for his marriage first time they made me to try drinks and smoke. There I had enjoyed life like anything. In CMA I got friends like Shankar, Mani, Venkatesh, same time Senthil introduced me with their street friends Chinna (Eswar), Raman, Dharani, Ramesh, Saravanan, Prasanna and Sasi. After that my life got rejuvenated and I was part of their cricket team. When we were working smoothly in CMA Sadly, Senthil mother has expired because of jaundice. After few months, Venkatesh had a conflict with owner and had to quit from the job, by supporting him everyone have taken the brave decision to quit their job without thinking about their family. Still it is a greatest moment for our friendship. Though I don’t have contact with some of the persons, still I can’t forget them. Again my job search started along with my CMA friends expecting millennium would give us a new hope.Between Years 2000-2003

After searching a job for a while we got the offer in Millennium Data Pvt Ltd as a Data entry operator in nightshift. First when we went inside we got surprise with seeing more than 200 persons. Since It was my first nightshift job I had horrible time to cope-up with the job. Since I couldn’t sustain in night shift requested the manager to change in morning shift, after seeing me and Senthil performances he accepted for morning shift. Also he said we will be working with Girls we need to be careful. But when we went for 1st day job in morning shift we hardly could see 6-10 boys. In those, all are only team leaders and others are girls. Since it was my first experience to work with girls I was bit uncomfortable. But still we made our mind not to distract from given job, but it didn’t last long after a week Senthil got a girl friend named BINDU. And she introduced me and Senthil to their friends, slowly our friend circle got increased. We got friends like Sumathi, Revathi, Priya, Sarasvathi,Yoga Lakshmi, Sharmila, Devi, Sharmila, Kalishwari, Manju, Nandhini,Valarmathi,Vimala and then Revathi. Apart from them there is Manju Madam, Valarmathi Madam, Dhanalakshmi Madam, Christy Madam who were treated us like their brothers.
It was like a college for us. We had a great fun in that company. Normally, if you are having many friends it might create a problem. for us, it was like a family we never brought the lunch to the office, everyday all will carry lunch for us and ask us to share there food. Especially, REVATHY (Kutty) she never have her food without sharing with us. Slowly, we became popular with every team member on that company.
A year after, Senthil has fall in love with Bindhu. Though initially she didn't accept his proposal later she also fell in love with him. Soon they became "Made for each other" then the problem had started. Bindhu is a kind of girl who is "friendly" and "talkative" to everyone. Some times it irritates Senthil when she speaks with any other person like how she speaks with him. Senthil didn't like this and he ignored her. After this, both were apart from each other. Meantime, in their family they have started to search for the alliance. One day, she tried to talk with Senthil but he didn't respond. After few days she came with the invitation for her engagement. Though, Senthil didn't come for her engagement myself i went for the engagement. there, I saw her fiancé and i thought she had taken the urgent decision. That is one of the sad moments for her and Senthil. I was really disappointed that they didn't become successful pair. Meantime, in Senthil's house his parents also have started to search for the alliance. Soon after, he also got married. After his marriage, Senthil got promotion as a Quality Analyst.
Meantime, I have joined the B.B.A Course in Madras University and Hardware Networking Course in SISI.

Our five years of stint with 2 different companies as a Data Entry Operator have come to the end. Same time, I have also started to search for the job in different field. My search continued.....

Meantime, as I was completed the Hardware Networking course, I searched job for hardware engineer. Unfortunately, none of the company was ready to recruit me since I was a fresher. After a few months of search I got a call from SISI. There they said, "Our institute is going to tie-up with CSC Computer Center for hardware networking courses" and they have asked me to take up the faculty job for hardware network course on CSC Mylapore Centre. After little bit of thinking, I have accepted the offer and then I have joined as a Faculty/System Admin in CSC Computer Centre. There I met the HOD Ms.Maya and got introduced with the other Faculty's like Mr.Prateesh, Mr. Muruganandham, Mr.Sudharshan, Ms.Manju, Ms.Kavitha ,Ms.Sakthi and Ms.Bhargavi.
Still I can't forget my first day experience as a faculty. When I went for my first day class I was waiting outside the institute for someone to open the door. I happen to stand with one old student who had joined for hardware networking course. He thought i am also a student and treated me like that. After institute opened i entered into the class room with my training materials, there i saw the person who was treated me like a student. We both got surprised by each other and i started my session with introduction then I found he comes near from one of the slums in Mylapore. His behavior also was like, not having the intention to learn. Then i have done with my session on that day. After that session, i prepared myself well before the training, then a month of struggle I became confident on myself and brought that student on my attention. This experience helped me to handle another new patch. In CSC For enrollment, every year on the month of April they do conduct the SAT exam for the student and whoever gets the maximum percentage of marks they would get the discount on their interested courses. When I was there for that SAT exam they had enrolled 400 plus students for all the courses. That time they were short of the faculties to manage all the students. Especially, there were students from all the ages and classes. Our HOD thought someone should take care of all the students at least for the month so that meantime they would hire the faculty to handle the students. Since I was handling only two patches on that time, I was taken the responsibility manage those 400 students. On My first day in each patch there are 75 plus students were sitting on the class. I have explained them about basic of computer which included Basic of Computers, Hardware, Software Programming languages and end of the session I got the appreciation from most of the students and from my HOD for handling the patch without any issue. Slowly I had been asked to handle the other software and programming language related courses. When I started taking the software related courses there was embracing situations which I don’t want to discuss in this Blog. After that I became important member on that institute and I was recognized by the Director. One day I got the call from Head Office, they had asked me to go for Coimbatore to take the training for the B.E students about the Basics of Electronics, basics of software, hardware and networking. I accepted and went to Coimbatore to take the training. The next day I reached the location of the institute in Coimbatore and seen the training room. It was like a hall there were 80+ students and staffs were sitting to attend my training. That time I was little nervous because I never had the experience for taking the class for B.E students. Also I thought, B.E students should be having more exposure than me in those subjects. But I prepared well for the training what I am going to explain, I have started with basics of electronics as I expected, in that session I had been asked many questions by the B.E students related to Electronics to test my knowledge. Somehow I handled well but after when I started the class for computer related training I gave back them what I got. It was a great experience for me. In that end of training, I realized that “regardless of the audience whom you are going to present if you prepared well and made yourself confident on the subject you could do well on any presentation”. After that, taking class becomes easy for me. I was able to handle any kind of subject without thinking about whom I am going to take.
Meantime, the enrollments for Hardware and Networking course got increased and from Head Office they sent one more person named Jagadeesh as a Hardware and Networking faculty. He was working in CSC only for few months and then he joined in Sify for his new assignment through as a contract employee. Meantime I got appraisal, in that they didn’t put the increment which I deserve. After so much of handwork they didn’t recognize me. So I decided to search for the new job. Since I was not having graduation and didn’t have good communication I had been ignored by most of the companies in the interview. Meantime, I got the call from Jagadeesh for interview in Sify, Tidal Park. He recommended me with his manager for the interview. I never thought would get the chance to get inside the Tidal Park. I prepared for the interview and went to the interview. Like other company in spite of my technical knowledge they have also ignored me for my communication and my graduation. Being studied in Tamil medium and not had the chance to learn and speak English in my entire life it was really difficult for me to cope up with their expectation in the interview. Then only I realized, in this world without communication I cannot grow myself. So I have started to read the newspaper, watching English news and concentrated more on interview related technical questions. Like this, I have practiced for 3 months at least to improve my communication on get through the interview.
After 3 months, again I got the call from Jagadeesh for job opening in SIFY. This time I don’t want to miss the opportunity and I prepared my self as hard as possible to get through the interview. After a week time I got the call from sify manager for walk-in interview. Last time when I attended the interview it was with assistant manager and this time it was from Manager. As soon as he saw my resume he recognized me and said, “Normally we don’t recruit the people who have already attended the interview for past 6 months” because of Jagadeesh I am giving one more chance, he said. After that, for each question some how I have managed to communicate with him in English. End of the interview, he asked me why I was not been selected in the last interview itself. Then, I explained him the reason. He appreciated me for my hardwork and recognized me for their job and said, I have been selected for the Job. It was like my dream come true, though I was selected only as a contract employee for Sify I was happy that I am going to enter into the real IT world. Then the day has come for me to finish my stint with CSC Computer centre as a faculty. I have resigned from CSC computer center and then joined as a Technical Support Engineer in Sify Limited through Origin Infosys Pvt Ltd.

My experience with Sify is entirely different from my previous organization.
On my first day nervously i was waiting on the reception to meet the manager. Next to me there were 5 other persons waiting to meet the manager.After i had talk with them came to know they were working in reputed organizations In that 2 persons were completed M.C.A and other 3 were completed B.E. Moreover, all of them had MCSE and CCNA Certifications. Since i had not even completed my Under Graduation i was really surprised and thanked the GOD for given me this opportunity. Then, I met the Manager Mr.Gunasekaran later he introduced me with other like Rajendran (Asst-Manager),
Ignitius(Team Leader),Rajkumar, Naga, Parthasarathy, Sathish, Saravanan, Jegan, selvamani and Durga. Apart from them one more person is jagadeesh who is my well-wisher and created the opportunity to get the job in sify.
In Sify, i was working in IWAY department. It provide support for internet cafes and way2talk Phones. As an engineer he can provide the support either from remotely or locally. For me, they have provided the option to work from Remote. The nature of the job is handle the service tickets raised by the cafe owner or admins from all over the india. There only, My first experience started to write the mails and Talk to the customers over the phone. Since, it was a domestic support manager doesn't care about how you are communicating. Initially, i had hard time to handle the customer over phone. Especially to handle the North Indians because they mostly prepare to talk in Hindi. Slowly, i became confident to write and talk with customers. After 3 months, Manager has decided to evaluate the engineer's performance and give the awards based on their performance. On that same month, i got the best performance award from the CTO Mr.Rustom Irany. Also, the same month the chennai was hit by TSUNAMI waves. After spending around 18 months in sify i realized there is no growth for me so i decided to resign from the sify and joined on CMA Computers ltd.

After sify, I joined on CMA as a FMS Enginner from there I was asked to attend the interview for Maersk India Global Service Center there I met the manager Mr.Rajesh. On interview, after seeing my resume he didn’t ask any question and accepted me to join as a Infrastructure Engineer. After that, I introduced with people like Pariston, Prabhakar, Ram, Sanjay , Bala , Mahesh and Sajeev . There my senior manager is prabhakar who is very energetic guy and always talks rudely but very professional on handling things. In maersk the working culture is entirely different but comparatively maersk is far better than sify because they treat contract employee like permanent employees. There I had been given the cab and food facility, only thing is I don’t get leave on Saturday and Sunday but still there won’t be much work on weekends. I never had any close relationship with anyone on that company because all of them are older than me and also never talk much. It was the period I was doing my final year of B.B.A and was trying to complete my exams. On final year exam I had the arrears on one paper so I joined for the tuition and successfully completed my B.B.A exams. After I got my graduation started to search for the job and decided to moveout from that company.then, after long time in my career I started to attend the interview in MNC companies. Earlier, because I didn’t complete my graduation I never attend any interviews on MNC companies. But after getting the graduation I felt i can get through.
Interview with EDS

I had my first interview call from EDS on the month of May 2007 after that call I went to attend the interview on Steeple reach there I met the HR person Shivani and Jain who had given me a warm welcome for the interview. Actually, I had been asked to attend the face to face interview but it was not happened because the manager who supposes to take the interview had not arrived for the location hence, I had the telephonic interview with Mr. Shiva who is my current reporting manager. After that interview I was so confident that I can get the job and waited for next round of the interview. In the same week I got the call from HR manager Mr.Ram for HR round in that he was asking questions about my education and the gap between my educations. After that I thought I won’t be selected because on my earlier interviews I had been rejected because my graduation done through correspondence. Then I was continued to work with CMA till june 2007. Suddenly, oneday I got the call from Shivani saying that I had been selected for lead infrastructure analyst role and they sent the offer letter for my acceptance. I was so thrilled to see the mail and started dreaming about entering into the corporate world.
