It was Saturday morning, I was preparing myself to go for yoga class. Suddenly, a lady one of our relation came to my house and told “our grand mother has expired in the morning in her house” by hearing this news myself and my family members were shocked. Meantime, she informed the news to our neighbors’ who are all very close to our grand mother. After some time again she came and told me, “I don’t have any money to do the funeral so you have to take the responsibility”. Before we wanted to say “OK” we wanted to know the opinions of others. So we have decided to discuss with our relations whether they want to contribute for the funeral. Then, we had the discussion with our relations, but none of them was ready to contribute single rupee. So we have decided to took up the responsibility and do the final offering for her. After the discussion Myself, My Brothers and My parents along with my 2 neighbors were started to travel for the place where she died. I took my father in my bike and others are prepared to come by bus. Since it was raining heavily i stopped at near valacherry bus stand. Meantime, i got the call from my brother and said, he missed our aunty (Father's Sister) in the saidapet bus stand. I was really scared and didn't how to proceed from there. because it has been more than 20 to 25years since she traveled alone in the bus. Also my brother has said he searched Saidapet from Guindy but couldn't find her in both bus stand. Since it was necessary that i should be present on the funeral i took some money from the near by ATM and started to rode my bike. It was heavy traffice all over the place. After a long search we found the house of that lady. The place was like a small village between each house there is some distance. We went inside the room where her body has been kept, there we saw her in sleeping posture also they have not performed any rites for her. Then myself and my father had talk with the person who does the funeral customs and have given the advance money to start the funeral rites. Meantime, i went Tambaram to search for my aunty because of lot of crowd i couldn't find her. then, i came back to the funeral place and watching the proceeding, suddenly appu called me and told "my aunty came to the house" later he brought her to our place to see her mother's sister final journey. Then we together done with our final proceedings for her. Around at 5 O clock we went to the Graveyard and buried her and came back to home around 8 o clock. Afterthat, the lady who was taking care of our grand mother for last 1 year came to us and told, "she sold all her jewels to take care of her"
About Her

She is our Grandmother's sister. She was the only person left in our old generation. She had only one daughter but she died in the age of 26 and her husband died at the age of 55. Her husmand was working in Government Office as a clerk, after he died she entitled to get the pension. Till 3 years before She was living separately next to our house. My brother and aunty use to take care of her till when she was here. 3 years back she sold her house and then she left from here. While leaving she had given money to all of our relations. For us she gave Rupees 15,000 which was big amount for our family. After she left from us we didn't get any message from her. Suddenly, Last year one day she came to our house after losing all her money with the persons who she trusted a lot. She had only Chain,Ear Ring(which is aroung 5 Sovereigns) and Rupees 10,000. Also she told,she was having 4 laksh Rupees while leaving from here but after staying with her neighbours she lost all her money with them. finally, she came to our house to take care of her. We have provided the accommodate for 6 months. In rainy season we were not able to manage her because of incoming rain water in my house. Meantime, one of our relation came and she told, would take care of her provided some money. since our grand mother also not ready to stay in our house. we have dicided to let her go in her way. Exactly, after a year she died in her house :(
My fater use to tell,she never treated him like our other relations. She helped all our neighbours to get the government job regardless of their education. Though, my father had good education as compare to others shd didn't help him to get one. If she would have helped my fater to get the job we wouldn't have faced such a difficulty to run a life. Finally, whoever she trusted and gave all her money none of them have turned up in her funeral. Even for her funeral everyone was discussing about her jewels and not ready to spend money. This is what world. If you have money you can turn enemy also in your side, If you don't even your childran could avoid you.
